| If you are looking for "high end" hotel status, this might not be the right choice for you. HOWEVER, if you want a clean, roomy and quiet room and don't require "frills" I would recommend this hotel to you.
I have stayed there twice now. After a long day of travel and work, I was welcomed by a very friendly staff and a room with a WONDERFUL view of the Lake seen as soon as I opened to door.
I am a "water person" and having that relived all the day's stress.
I unpacked, set up my computer in front of the window looking out at the lake, poured a glass of wine and leisurely took care of some end of the day work tasks. I was in HEAVEN.
This last visit provided me with breathtaking sunrise pictures from the balcony of my 2nd floor room. I shared these with family and friends and they were all very envious.
A couple suggestions for hotel management:
1.) Invest in some descent towels/wash cloths. Those there now are ANCIENT and have little to no absorbency. Plus, they are a bit "dingy" in color.
2.) Do a once over in ALL the rooms to ensure outlets/light bulbs, etc... are all working. Last room I was in had 2 of the 3 light bulbs in the bathroom out. Made putting on makeup a bit challenging.
Otherwise, stay quaint and I hope to see you again. |

| I love the big open room and the front and back door entrance. Especially the window lake view, it was beautiful. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. |

| Will be back, the Staff was very friendly and courteous upgraded us to the last lake view room which is gorgeous. Large lawn area for play and another area with horseshoes, ping pong and a pool for seasonal use. The motel is older so the shower could use some updating but everything else made up for it. Some reviews said mattress to hard, my husband agreed but I slept great. Plan on taking grand kids to area and will book here again |

| This motel/resort has been in operation for over 50 years, and some of the cottages reflect this. However, some of the buildings have been remodeled and the grounds are spacious and well maintained. An absolutely wonderful scenic experience. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, you will not be disappointed. All in all my stay was very enjoyable and exceeded my expectations. Two thumbs up!! |

| I love the skylark especially in the off season ...... it is an old resort .... and seen better days but, you cannot beat the grounds .....and the lake views ..... my only complaint is that I have asthma and always ask for a NON- smoking room ..... problem is the room, curtains, and sheets all smell of smoke .... but, that will not keep me from staying there every time in am in or near Lakeport .... |

| The hotel was booked online by my husband. I checked in at 1am and the attendant was up and waiting for me. Room was clean aside from 2 hairs on the sheets. But overall price was great. Room was comfy. Would definitely stay there again. |
